Meaning when you are consuming a lot of this type of food you are ingesting a lot more carbs. So when you think about it that is precisely what this program was designed to reduce. Which means you really do need to have portion control, along with the lower carbs.

Another thing you should recognize is that if you are not the kind of individual who doesn't eat vegetables, this is not a good losing weight choice. If your low carb diet only contains foods like meat and eggs, you won't be getting the vitamins and minerals your entire body needs. Some individuals have even wound up getting scurvy simply because of this diet. If you are only eating meats and eggs, you're not getting the vitamin C your body needs to fight off scurvy. In fact you are usually depriving your body of many vitamins you need to continue to be healthy and that can lead to other health issues.

Some of the books I have read concerning low carb diets, claim you can eat all you want and still lose weight as long as the meals you're eating are low carb. In the event you end up consuming too many calories, while you may not gain weight you also won't lose weight. You need to be aware that even low carb food products still have carbs. So if you decide to eat as much as you wish, you will be putting more carbs in to your diet. Naturally when you are consuming more carbs you are defeating the purpose of this program. For that reason, if you want to be successful with this diet you will need to lessen your calorie intake also.
